Many kinds of seasonal dishes are available in Hokkaido, and in deed, Hokkaido is well-know for its good food. Our shop, Kaisen-Ichiba Kitano Gourmet deals in many goods, such as live crab, fresh marine products, and agricultural produce directly delivered from the district where they were grown or taken, and many other Hokkaido seasonal items. We are also running a seafood restaurant within our shop, and it is upholding a great reputation among visitors from all over the country.

Crab
Big, meat-filled legs of these crabs are more than enough to fulfill your appetite. You can eat live king crab boiled.
Hair crab butter is very delicious, and is available through out the year.
Queen crabs have long easy-to-eat legs with a delicate flavor. You can enjoy colorful, rich-flavored hanasaki crabs.

Hokkaido, with its vast land and rich nature, is attracting thousands of tourists who seek seasonal delicacies, winter sports, or as a destination for their summer resort. Its very distinct seasonal variation enriches vegetation and other food supply, and in deed, there are so many kinds of seasonal gourmets available in Hokkaido. In summer, Hokkaido becomes one of the coldest place in Japan, and thus attracts many people who seek for milder climate, and even in winter time, Hokkaido is visited by many people for skiing and snowboarding. The snow festival, or so called 'Yuki Matsuri' in February, is one of the most famous events in Hokkaido, entertaining an increasing number of foreign tourists all over the world.

About 70 poplar trees stand in rows for about 380m along a sandy path on the west side of Hokkaido University Museum. The view of autumn leaves in the end of October is spectacle.

Sapporo Factory is a commercial complex includes shops, amusement parks, restaurants, and a hotel in historic redbrick buildings. Sapporo City Photo Library traces the history of the city's development with photos of life, culture and buildings.
There's the Chocolate Factory, where Shiroi Koibito cookies are manufactured. The toy box of old age, or so called 'Mukashi-no Kodomo-no Omocha-bako' is available to see for visitors in the Cheddar House.
The commercial building in Susukino has a Ferris wheel on its roof. Noria, the name of the Ferris wheel, is quite popular as it commands a panoramic night view of downtown Sapporo.
A Percheron draft horse called Ginta pulls a two-story carriage through downtown Sapporo.
VELOTAXI is an eco-friendly transportation system that enables visitors to travel across the center of downtown Sapporo. It's a part of the global warming prevention activity.

In this outdoor museum, visitors can learn history of Hokkaido's development.
This historical museum is in Nopporo Forest Park, and was built as a memorial of Hokkaido's 100th Anniversary.

Mt. Moiwa, a sightseeing spot in central Sapporo, commands a splendid night view. The view from the restaurant is also recommended.
At the Sapporo Winter Sports Museum, visitors can learn the history of winter sports from exhibits and can use simulators to experience ski jumping. The view from the top of the Ski Jump is popular among tourists, as it commands a splendid view of Sapporo.

The statue of Dr. Clark is the centerpiece of Hitsujigaoka. It's a favorite location for taking pictures. A flock of sheep on the vast grassland will welcome all the visitors.
This rural theme park was established to give visitors an opportunities to think how farming can coexist with city life. At this park, visitors can learn about and enjoy nature, agriculture and animals. The Lavender Hill is very popular among tourists (available from mid July to early August). 
The basic design of the park was drafted by Isamu Noguchi, a famous sculptor known for his designs of parks and gardens. Moerenuma Park was planned as the main northern park in the 'Kanjo Dream' Greenbelt Project, which aims to construct parks and greenbelts in central Sapporo. The out-door stage and the sports gym are available.
There are Outdoor Art Museum, and Indoor Art Museum in this extensive park. Try your hand at pottery and glassmaking at the crafts center and atelier. Events are held throughout the year on Outdoor Stage.
It's the only national park in Hokkaido with the size of 400h. It's located at 160 to 320m above sea level. Children's play area is available. Visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers in this park.
Jozankei Spa, called 'the guest room adjoining Sapporo' for its proximity to the city center. Sightseeing spots include Jozankei Dam, Sapporo International Ski Resort, and so on. Visitors can enjoy the spa without reserving a room.
It's known for beautiful spring and autumn foliage.
